Safety and Loss

I've been listening to the local police scanner and another boater has probably lost their life. Last I heard was they were looking for him and couldn't find anything other than the boat. I sure hope he made it to shore somewhere.

I am sorry to hear that. A teenager was lost here not to long ago and it was very sad. He had just finished high school but never made it to his graduation.

People don't realize how dangerous water is. They think "well, it's just water, I can swim" but we've been having more water this year and the dam is over flood stage at the moment. Places that have never had water on them, do now this year. I hope we don't have a lot of visitors who expect the dam to be as tame as it usually is.

We get the Utah news, they have had 5 drownings in the past two weeks with all the high water.
