Default When on the water which do you perfer?

Do you like a boat/motor, canoe or maybe a kayak? We have a boat and a canoe to use on the water. It just depends on what we want to do. Sometimes we just like to take canoe for nice quiet time in the river and creeks and enjoy nature up close.

Kayak or canoe. I'm probably going to build a jonboat before too long, just to have a bit more room when my brother and his boy come along, but I'm not really a big fan of them.

It depends on the day and what I am doing. Right now I have a canoe and a Kayak, I will use the canoe on lakes and easy rivers (like class 1 maybe 2) to have a nice easy day. And then I use my kayak to do whitewater for a fun day. If I could afford it I would have a motored boat to take to the lake some days.

I have a kayak - prefer non-motorized quiet travel. Would like to eventually buy a canoe so I can stay out longer than 2-3 days or bring more stuff, including my dog!

Hi...

I've canoed, but that wasn't my preferred way of travel.

I had an Arkaksas Traveler HD aluminum jon boat, that I used with oars and/or a small outboard. Loved it.

When that was stolen, I built one, and loved it.

The I built a sixteen foot open runabout, with two sets of oars and a small outboard, and I loved it. Had it on rivers from the Delaware River to the Yukon and Klondike Rivers. Then I sold it.

The I bought a pleasure runabout with a 115 HP Evenrude, and I loved it. Then I sold it.

Now, I river fish with guides that have their own boats...!! So there...!!

I would opt for a canoe over everything else if its just me, sometimes I like to sit back and actually be one with nature not trying to rush through it. If I can avoid the rush I am all good.

A boat with a motor has its place, especially if you are out on big water and need to cover some area like if you are fishing. For small water, I do love my kayak.

I would go with a canoe - they are so peaceful! My second choice would be a big boat. I don't own one but I would love to! Something about speed and really moving on the water just intrigues me!

We have a boat with motor and also a nice canoe. It really just depends on where we are going and if it will be a nice lake or small one that doesn't allow motorized boats.
