Default Avoiding Snakes-the Human Kind

I read somewhere the other day that many gangs have taken over some of the parks out west to produce marijuana. They say they make camps and then guard them and cultivate the marijuana. I still say legalizing the stuff will put a lot of crime out of business.

Wow! I hadn't heard that, that is kind of scary. Legalizing it may do away with some problems but I really don't want to be out driving with people that are high behind the wheel of the next car.

This happening all over, they close trails to 4 wheelers, the meth labs, and pot farmer take over. If we the people have access to the land we can keep an eye on it. When we are shut out it just make it easier for the growers.

It would be illegal to drive under the influence, just as it is with alcohol now. I'm not saying that the law would prevent it from ever happening, but in any case, it already is happening (just as is drunk driving), and I really think that legalizing it and setting usage laws would be a middle ground that users would be more likely to respect than current policy.

And UGH at the dopes using parks to grow it. What scum!

One of my favorite local parks is turning into a drug den and I am so disgusted. I actually had to call the police last year because I was there with a couple friends at dusk and there was a drug deal going down in the parking lot. Something went wrong and one of the guys started firing off a gun in all directions. I couldn't believe it. How we avoided getting shot is beyond me. Purely the grace of God, I suppose.

Anyway, of course they were gone by the time the cops got there so nothing happened. It just makes me sick because this used to be the friendliest, safest place and now it's over run with dealers.

It's really getting bad and I don't want to be by myself and come upon one of these camps. Legalizing would put the tax into the tax base and help us to have more policing going on. As far as having people behind the wheel high, it happens every day, most of us just don't know it.
