calanta Senior Member Join Date: May 2009 Posts: 295	Phone app question For anyone that has used the location deal on the phone I know it is pretty accurate here in the city and the outskirts but what about when you are in the woods. Has anyone used an app while on a trail?

raslin Junior Member Join Date: May 2011 Posts: 8	I have used mapmyhike on iPhone, quite accurate when I compare it toy Garmin trail of the same hike. Awesome app.

That one made for Driod operating system. The Trimble outdoor from Backpacker hasn't got the best reviews.
