Default Searching for arrowheads

I've gone arrowhead hunting off and on since I was a kid. My uncle's farm had all sorts of artifacts, and he kept them on the walls in his outbuildings. I've been in the mood to go since the early rains of spring, but still haven't been. Does anyone else love looking for arrowheads?

Hi...

I've never found...or looked...for arrowheads. I've often wondered though...how did all of those arrowheads become "lost" in the first place?

I've done it before, but not in a long time. I would guess they get lost like modern arrowheads do: a bad hunter (see: vegetarian) shoots at game. Hunter misses, arrow flies off into woods, not to be seen again for a hundred years, probably in the middle if the night when a camper is walking around barefoot in the dark looking for a place to pee.

They are a common part of the landscape in the West and I automatically keep an eye out for flakes and projectile points all the time.

Arrowheads are not something you typically find lying around since they're all man-made. I've enjoyed purchasing them from gift shops in the past, though!
