Wind Chap I knew there was a reason I quit hiking on cold, real cold, winter days! Talk about pain!?!?! My face got so chapped I could hardly make any type of facial expression without hurting!

Ouch, glad it does not get too cold down here sometimes. Do you wear any sort of mask or anything?

Yeah that is too cold for me. I am a wimp when it comes to cold weather. I do use chapstick or carmex a lot to keep my lips from becoming too chapped. I don't think that you want to smear it all over your face though! LOL

I hate how red it gets when it's chapped. You should invest in a full face stocking cap and then you wouldn't get chapped. Please don't tell me you tried to apply chapstick to your entire face after? lol

I'm not much for getting out when it's that cold. I'll do my hiking on the indoor track at the gym! I'm a wimp, I know but I can't take the cold.

I always try and protect my face when the conditions are like that. I also use some kind of salve or barrier cream to keep from losing too much moisture.

Ouch is right! I hate any type of chap! I usually cover up my face with a full face stocking cap. I don't like to hike indoors.

I don't like to walk with my face entirely covered-it feels too claustrophobic. I use scarves and shawls, I can get a reasonable wrap normally just leaving my nose and middle of my face out.

I had a thin face mask that I wore for a while but it really started to bother me. I used lotion that was supposed to help prevent wind chap but obviously it isn't all that it claims to be.
