Default Life Jackets

I was just curious as to how many actually wear their life jackets when in the boat. I know I am bad about stuffing mine in the side panel of the boat. I insist that the kids wear theirs but when it's just my husband and I a lot of times we don't bother.

I am generally pretty good about it, but I can be the same way. The kids are not aloud on the water without one, but occasionally I will go without one.

I am pretty obsessive about everyone wearing their life vests. I fell out of a boat once when I was a kid and it saved my life and now I feel I have to make sure everyone wears them.

I have a pfd the also has some pockets in the front for holding my fishing gear. Helps make you want to wear it.

If it's a party barge that's stationary, no way. If it's a boat that's in motion or a smaller craft, then I wear mine. There's nothing worse than capsizing a canoe and smacking your head on the gunwales as it tips and drowning because you're unconscious and face-down in the water.

I insist on the children wearing it . I am not a very good swimmer so I always wear mine also. It pays to set a good example for them.

I do of course. I am not a good swimmer and I drown easily so I make sure that I wear a life jacket with me when I am in a boat. It's better to be safe than never.

I wear life jackets as a precaution when I ride boats. Panic is usually the killer when we are in the water and having a life jacket will help us afloat.

Well I guess that I am from the old school. Only wear them if I need to. But they are always close by. BTW the ones that most people buy and wear will NOT turn you face up. Only the big offshore ones will do that. I do recommend wearing though.
