Hi...
Just curious...did any of you carry and emergency gear on your person...or in the boat? | We are continually on the kids about safety, especially boat safety. They hear it from the time they are two years old. This day, some of the teens and 20-year-olds took the boat right across the Sound from the island house where we all stay. It's a quick, safe trip usually. They take repellant, hats, water and sunscreen always. I don't think they had a cell phone with them because the boat has a radio. They could have been stranded, however, for an afternoon. I think the lesson was learned.
