I like my single malt neat and out of a small glass when camping. Something wrong about drinking good scotch out of a red cup!

Sounds wrong to me to adulterate fine bourbon with sugar water and ice.

Beer is always good whether ice cold, creek cold or under the pickup seat cold.

But then a dash of everclear in my powdered poweraid fruit punch works well on long backpacking trips.

I don't sunburn easily but my neck is still red.

If I consistently camped with people that enjoyed a couple of coctails, I could see where the OPs bar idea would be fun. NC bans alcohol in its parks so drinking is not such an obvious form of entertainment. I've seen people having to toss out a cooler of beer after trying to carry it into a backcountry campsite.

In warm weather I like gin and tonic with lots of limes, or vodka and tonic. Rum with different kinds of fruit juice is refreshing. For variety a Picon Punch, a Basque drink. For more serious drinking good bourbon and water, with a few beer chasers.

Accoutrements and glass ware are of no importance to me when camping.

I also chill my scotch when I bring some camping with me, but only during really hot days. My friend who's into wines and spirits and that sort of thing told me that the ideal temp for scotch is about 65 to 67 degrees.
