That sounds warm & toasty which is the complete opposite of the weather I have been dealing with today. This morning it was nothing but rain and wind, now its just dead cold. A warm beach would be lovely!

I did, and I'm glad it was a couple young guys, because I would have felt really bad for laughing so hard at their antics if it had been older folks, or a family.

the noise these two made, about 4am, when the waves actually lapped into their entrance woke us up, but rather than being annoyed, we felt like should pay for admission to the show.

Good advice - check the tides - LOL

An extra tarp setup is always a good idea to get some shade instead of retreating to the tent in the hottest part of the day.

In Nevada it is sandy a lot of the time. It just takes a little more care with bedding, and anything mechanical, blow out the sand before putting fittings together, etc.

When I was young, we surfed at Ocean City, MD. People who lived at the beach kept a plastic dishpan with water in it by each door, and dipped their feet before entering the house. It would work for camping too.
