Default Campfire conversation

When you're gathered around a campfire with a group of people, whether it's friends or family, are there any topics of conversation you try to avoid or is it anything goes for you? This is for the ones that aren't drunk of course, because for the people that are drunk, I already know the answer.

Nah, we talk about anything and everything. There's nothing like a campfire to bring out some good conversation unless it's a type of alcoholic beverage and a campfire. We have had some tall, tall tales told around the campfires we have had the pleasure to enjoy.

When it's just me and my friends, anything goes. But when I'm with my family, it's moderated while my nephews are still awake and with us. Once, we manage to get them to bed, anything goes.

Noting off limits for me. I enjoy talking about many topics that some may get heated about. My opinions of religion, politics, and many things are not very main stream so always interesting to her what other have to say.

Nothing off limits for us too. I am very open minded and sometimes a bit opinionated. I love being able to sit around a fire and talk all night. It's one of my favorite parts of camping.

Depends on the company, although about 99% of the time the folks I'd be sitting around a campfire with are not ones to take offense easily.

The very few other times, I just try to keep politics to a minimum.

Too many of my friends are as opinionated and bull headed as myself so some topics are left out of the fireside chats.

My old dog agrees with all of my opinions as long as she gets her treats!

Politics is usually something I try to avoid, but just about everything else is pretty much fair game. We have a few friends that are a bit more conservative than we are.

I love to talk so I will pretty much talk to anyone about anything. Sometimes religion and politics can get a little heated, but I respect people who truly stand-up and speak-up for what they believe in even if I don't agree.
