Most people see just another law to stop someone from doing something bad, but it is another law that can be misused to take away another small amount of our freedom.

I still don't see this as stopping people from protesting, they just can't set up a tent city for months at a time in the city parks that are not designed or equiped for an extended debauchery party and orgy.
That is not what city parks are intended to be used for.
They are still free to protest, just have to find a appropriate place to stay like a campground, hotel or rent an appartment.

If it is not that offensive to you then why not offer to let them camp in your yard for a few months??

Among the banners and flags are now discarded packets of condoms, cigarettes and bottles of spirits, while naked youngsters happily get together with just sleeping bags covering their modesty.

A box of free condoms is kept in the main area where protesters are camping.
