Wow, some awesome trips here.. I have never camped outside the US and I don't plan on it. I've only been to Canada but not to camp. I feel pretty safe being right here in the US.

We camped a bit in Lebanon. There really isn't any place far away from people there though even in the mountains there are people everywhere. We also slept overnight on the beach of the Mediterranean sea for several nights.

I usually don't trek very far,
when all around me black bears are.




I did quite a lot of camping in Canada during my 21-day motor trip from NY to AK. Saw and experienced many interesting places. Ended up staying in AK for twelve years.

On my first trip outside AK (vacation) it was during the winter, and I did quite a lot of camping then, also.




Uh oh...!! Did I just hear a grenade rolling downhill toward me?
