Camping reservations

Do you like to make online reservations before you go camping? Or, do you like to just have a list of campgrounds and drive around until you find a place that you really want to camp?

I like to make reservations before I go camping. I used to do it the other way but I like to know where I am going and that a spot is waiting for me when I get there.

I prefer to make reservations as well. If it's a popular camping season, I've run into situations where places are simply full, or I wind up in a less-than-ideal camping area. It's easy enough to do, so I just do it.

I always make reservations. Some of the spots I like to take my family require as much as 6 months' advance reservation or you will never get a spot.
