Cleaning The Camp Grounds

Do you clean the camp grounds after your camping?

I make sure that I clean the area where I have camped. All the non-disposal garbage will go with me and I burrow the trash that will decompose.

Of course we clean up. We make sure the garbage is burned if it's burnable and they allow it, or taken to the dumpster at the campground. We also make sure to put the picnic table back where it was when we got there. I think you should always clean up after yourself.

Yes! This is a major thing with my family. We burn what we can and hang trash bags in the tree while we are camping. Everything we didn't burn goes home with us. We have even cleaned up other trash that people have left behind.

Oh gosh! I hate having to clean up after the person before me. So it always makes me a fanatic about cleaning the site after we've used it. I HATE a dirty site!

We clean our campsite before we leave. We don't want to have a campsite that is littered with trash before we leave. There were a few times where I found some coins or even a dollar bill while I'm cleaning up.

Absolutely! We always clean our campsite and even if we are on the trails and see trash we pick it up and throw it in with the trash we take home.

My family is active in joining environmental activities in our village so we really help each other in cleaning up our mess before leaving the camping site. My kids are aware on how to segregate their trash. We make sure that the area is totally clean for the next campers. At least in this way, they will do the same thing.

We definitely make sure that we leave the site as we found it or cleaner if we find a bit of a mess. We haven't had an incident where we have come to a site and there was a big mess to clean up, thank goodness.

Always try to leave site cleaner than I found it. Last trip campers at 2 sites near us left chairs,old grill and trash . I was furious. No wonder tent campers sometimes get a bum rap!

As others have said, I always leave the site cleaner than I found it. Sometimes however I leave a little bit of firewood for the next camper.
