Default Clothesline

We always take rope with us and tie it between 2 trees. This is our clothesline and we use it for all the wet towels and swimsuits that we use when swimming. Our first couple of years camping we would put the wet towels and swimsuits on the camper or on the back of chairs. We finally got smart and started making a clothesline. Anyone else do this?

Yes. High strength, low diameter line for packability and light weight. It has a hundred uses with clothes line being one of them.

Yeah, we started doing this as well. We usually take two ropes and set up two cloths lines. We have a large family so it helps having that second line.

would this be the answer to the thread about kids racing through your camp?

What ever a standard length of clothes line is it is in our camp box. It gave us enough space on our last trip to dry swim gear for three plus dry the clothes that were sweat soaked.

Grandpa --- tempting but not nice!!

I'm pretty sure Grandpa uses extra long bungee chords for this. The ATV keeps moving forward while the rider is flung backwards and into the woods. Out of sight; out of mind.

I carry cordage with me when I'm camping. I haven't used it for a clothes line to date, but that's because I haven't camped somewhere that it's legal to swim for a bit. Still, it's there if I need it.

I would guess a good chunk of our supplies are based on the little odds and ends that we sometimes forget to pack up before we head out. We have always used some random string from in the truck but bungees sound like they could work in a pinch if really needed.

Bungees would work for many things when camping. We also have several of them in the back of the truck. They have kept tarps in place and also kept the pretty lights on the camper!

Love the clothesline keeping pesky kids away!
