Default Commercial Hammock

We'd like to take things to the next level-leave the kids behind and spend the night out. Are there any good commercial hammocks that are easy to carry when backpacking?

It depends on what you are looking for. There are tent hammocks if you still want a little more protection, but still want the comfort of a hammock. If you google it, you'll see a good range of options.

Hammocks look so comfortable but the first time I lay in one I found my back didn't appreciate it. I have arthritis in my back and I guess the spurs are just too advanced for me to lay that way. I have an air mattress that I use to sleep on which is great for me. It's like having a firm mattress at home.

Thanks for linking the Hennessy hammocks. I think I'm probably going to go that route.

Those look so good. I have trouble with hammocks myself, they don't suit my back and my hips need to be flat. Yet, the thought of being off the ground is very appealing.
