I like that decision.

I don't have a dog. I don't love your dog like you do. The barking you think is cute is not cute to me. Having your dog glaring at me while I eat/cook is not enjoyable. When you have to get up at 5am to walk your dog it's not my problem. Your dog should be seen and not heard. If you can't manage that the dog should stay at home.

If your dog gets confused and makes an aggressive move towards someone on my site I will stop it first and worry about hurting it later.

Before anyone asks, yes, I bring kids, and yes, I ensure they don't bother anyone around me. My kids have never once peed on someone else's tent.

Last year we tok our little mutt; pretty sure she did not enjoy the trip. I can tell you we did not enjoy the trip and not because of the dog. I think that the joy for all of us was removed due to the heat wave we had while camping. Where our camp was there was little or no breeze.

Now does that mean we will never take her and/or her big little brother (an lab mix that will be a year old come June)? No they will go. We will plan better for cooling both of them. Like taking them to the area near the swiming hole for a dip outside the swimming area and not on the beach.

In fact the lab is my walking buddy; like forget taking a walk without him! If he thinks I am living for a walk he is at the door blocking my excape. (yes, dog whisper fans and non fans; he will move when told and allow me to leave unhindered!). I am trying to figure a way to keep him cool this summer when we walk so he does not get heat stroke.
