Default Double or Single Sleeping Bag

Which do you prefer if you are going camping with someone you don't mind sharing a sleeping bag with? Do you like to have one to yourself or do you mind sharing and just carrying one bag instead of two?

We have both but generally we spread out a few instead of zipping up inside one. We both have issues with our feet being tucked in that tightly because we move a lot in our sleep.

bought one years ago that was able to zip from two singles to one twin size , have used it in both modes depending on the circumstances.
now i like the full size for the extra room when alone

I'm not to crazy about being zipped up to tight in one of those things so I like the double one myself. I don't mind sharing with hubby as it doesn't zip up real tight and we can move our feet around without feeling pinned in.

I'll take my own, thanks. My husband is a bit rowdy in his sleep, elbows flying and feet kicking all night. When we're camping, in separate sleeping bags, is about the only time I get to sleep without being wacked at some point during the night.

I'd say it depends on what sort of nocturnal activities you have in mind.... ;-)

I don't mind the double ones most of the time, especially if it is real cold out, you stay much warmer. I'm not crazy about the ones that zip up tight though. I do like to have a little room to move my feet around.

I like the double but all to myself! I really don't like some of those single ones. You feel like a mummy wrapped up in them. I like a little room to move around, especially my legs.

Hahahaha!!! Good point there.

My girlfriend and I go for the double but we also don't zip up unless it's really chilly.
