We went rough camping last August with a group of people, my little fella asked me today if we can go back this year because he loved it so much he wants to go back. I think maybe he is being bitten by the outdoor bug already.

I think for some parents the biggest issue is time away from work. I know right now juggling our normal schedule this year alone it seems to be busier than any in the past. Maybe I should look for a different job.

We tend to camp on long weekends, they are always easier to get off. Both me and my husband work Monday to Friday so we are lucky there.

Glad to hear the little fellow is developing his interests towards outdoor activities. You should, definitely, make sure not only that he gets to go camping, but also that he acquires the skills of a camper. Maybe he'll join the Boy Scouts sometime...

I plan to put him in the boy scout program, my husband was a boy scout and I really think my son would enjoy it.
