Exploration Weekend

Despite the warning of crummy weather I am off camping this weekend in the Coquihalla district where we will explore the old Carolin Mine. This is a trip I have been wanting to make for a few years now. The mine has been deactivated for decades but has recently been purchased by another company and will be reopened and activated. So, a few friends and myself are off for a soggy weekend of camping and exploration while we can still access the old shafts and out buildings.

I'll do a trip report when I get back.

Who else has camping plans this weekend?

My brother and I might be camping tomorrow night. We're just heading into the woods to a spot by the reservoir that he found. Nothing exciting. Just gathering fire wood, building a fire, cooking some food, and shooting the **** with my brother.

I'm really looking forward to it. It makes me feel so relaxed.

I had an off road weekend planned, but had to work Saturday.

We have had a birthday party or two for the last month, and this coming weekend is more. I think it may stop after that, but other things are upon us.
