Default Got to get away from here

We really can't afford it but we have got to get out of here for a few days. I don't know if camping is the answer because it's so hot, but something has got to give. Between financial stress, work stress, and being a stay at home mom to a 2 year old and a 4 month old I am about to lose it.

I know how you feel. I have been feeling all of the stress recently too. There is one thing that always helps, and that is being out in nature. I hope you can find a way to get out in nature for a few days.

I simply do not allow life to keep me from nature. I don't care what is going on in the world, I am going to get out and away from all of the crazy fast paces places around here.

OK- at least you ought to try to find the time to go sit under a tree beside some running water. Just sit and let the water soothe your stress.

I know where you are coming from- my wife has some serious health problems and the job of taking care of her after her surgeries falls on me. Been a long, cooped-up summer here. My biggest stress reliever has been to hitch up the canoe trailer ansd paddle aro0und for an hour or so before sunset. There is something about being on or around the water that soothes the soul.

Camping can be free if you know people that live in the country. Just grab your tent and some food and go. We camp all over the place. You can even camp in State Parks and they are pretty cheap.

My heart's with you.
I don't even sleep properly when I can't get outside for something. Even a walk down the road a mile helps. Water is the best medicine for me. A half hour casting a lure will go far in keeping sanity, whether or not anything decides to bite.

I've recently started kayaking. What a stress relever that is! Once I get out on the lake and get some quiet time with God, I can feel the relese.

Agree about the heat. Find some water. River. Lake. Pond. Anything.

My girlfriend, my dog and I went canoeing the other day at Lake Norman. It was hot as hell. I 'accidentally' fell into the water... several times.
