I need to go camping!

It's been over a year for me. In 2010, I probably camped 30-40 days.

We don't camp as often as we would like to and it has been a while. We just love going somewhere near the water and doing a little fishing also. There is just nothing like fresh fried fish while camping out.

Me too! Got a week of backpacking lined up for the first week of June, but I'm going to try to do an weekender with a little fishing before then.

Don't we all?! I think this summer will be better for me than previous ones, as far as camping goes. But my hikes are regular as usual.

I spent 6 days camping in Ky. about a month ago but I need to get out again. I need to just stroll through the woods and set up camp when ever I feel like it.

How do you get so far off the track?

Most people say things like " I want to go camping." By expressing yourself by saying "I need to go camping" you demonstrate a whole different mind set. Please go camping as soon as possible and tell us all about it, because you are more than ready.

And to all those that have 5 reasons why they didn't go much last year, realize that camping is too important to disregard. Bring the kids, pets, in-laws or whatever else has been slowing you down. You don't have to go as far or as fast, but you still need to go.

I need lots of camping this year too. Last year only got out a few times because we were babysitting my neice alot, but my sister-in-law is got things back in line so we wont have her much this summer. Already had 4 kayaking/car camping weekends this spring and looking forward to planning and taking my first backpacking trip of the year here soon.
