Wow, a month is a long time to live in a tent. I have never camped in a cabin (let alone in a tent) for more than a week.

Yea speaking of New River... I own property near Lower Gauley in WV.
Worked for N.A.R.R. when I left the Army for 3 years as a Raft Guide on the New and Gauley. I miss the river and have all my time spent on long trails.

We camped in a tent for nearly two months during the big earthquake in Chile. It was a necessity because it wasn't safe to be inside of our house. We thoroughly enjoyed it and it was a very special family time.

By camped I mean in a tent, not in a cabin enjoying all the luxuries of home, if I remember correctly fro me it was around 4 days, other than hot showers I didn't really miss anything.
The longest I have ever camped out in a tent using solar showers and 5 gal buckets for a portapotti was for 5 weeks on an island in the middle of the Arkansas River. It was awesome.
