We keep two bedrooms equiped with a big double and another with a set of bunk beds. The rule is first come first choice for the adults. Otherwise, the girls get the upstairs living room and the boys get the downstairs family room. Amazing how they all manage to get here a day earlier than planned.

Spending time with children is more important than spending money on them. (Don't know who said it but I like it)

Once I try a PVC air bed, but I choose the sensing of the rubberized and the colour is also essential for me, the very old france bed mattress are dull are the best for me.

We take the air mattresses to the beach with us. The children love sleeping out on the porches, even when there are plenty of beds to go around. Part of the joy of childhood is sleeping under those conditions. We used to use quilts when I was growing up.

I've thought several times about getting one of these but was unsure if they were really comfortable to sleep on. It sounds like most everyone here likes them. I do like the sound of that self inflating Aerobed so will check into those.

One of the great things about air mattresses is that you can put them up anywhere. We have one of the beds that is raised off the floor. We use ours at least once a year. The self-inflating feature is amazing.

When my sister and her family visit, they stay at our house. She has three boys. We put two of the boys on the airbed while the other boy sleeps in a twin. It has always worked out well.

The only problem I have had is getting the kids to stop jumping up and down, and off it. Even so, there are no holes or problems with the bed. They are durable.
