We were doing some fishing and squirrel hunting. He had to visit the facility. I tossed him a roll of toilet paper and pointed at the tree line. He knew what I meant and went off to relieve his pressure. I've been doing this for a long time on my own land. I don't do it elsewhere because the rules say differently and I follow the rules even if I think they're stupid.
The fact is that feces can infect animals (including humans) with disease. I have a dairy farmer next door who is most happy for me to go across the street and take deer any time I want so that some disease the deer leave in their feces does not infect his cows. It just goes to show you that if you play with **** too much, you're going to catch something. On the other hand, if I can tell how fresh the feces are, I can tell how far ahead the animal is. If I'm tracking, I want to know. I use a stick to tell and then move on. And I've killed a lot of animals.
But I'm still low impact. I don't take more than I require. I never leave a trace except in the snow. I dare you to find me any other time of the year.
