Meeting new people

One of my favorite things about camping is meeting new people. On our last camping trip we met a really nice couple and a great group of kids that could sing and play guitar like no other while we were walking around the first night. We sat around the campfire at night, shared great food and listened to fantastic live music. Do you ever do this?

Sure we venture out and try to meet other campers. I think it's fun! I wish I could meet someone else who could sing. I love to sing by the campfire. Sounds like you had a load of fun.

There have been several times we have joined other campers around the fire. My wife and I like to play and sing a bit too and people seem to enjoy a few songs around the fire.

Most often it is the more remote places where camps may join up. In this area people are a little more wary in the more public, or busier places.

I'm sure that it is good to meet new people. However, I have met some people in camps that are not that desirable. I can't blame them because they have their own ways but sometimes it just annoys me when they do things that I don't like.

I've had good and bad experiences with other campers. You just never know who you'll meet up with. I have low tolerance for the young partygoers who have no respect for the law or anyone else.

I never mind it myself unless its the nosy type who have decided instead of a howdy hello and some general chit chat, they want to stay in your camping area with you, the entire length of your trip. That of course, drives me bonkers.

Actually on our last trip where we met these young kids-they were the respectful well behaved ones and the older people were the loud partiers. They actually went around to all the sites near them and said we are going to play some live music your welcome to join and if we get to loud just let us know. So you can't always blame it on the young kids.

I love venturing out and meeting new people. It really depends on if I go out trekking alone or not. I don't want to cross paths with strangers when I am out by myself because I am a girl and this can be dangerous but if I am with 1 or 2 other people meeting up with other campers is great.
