Default Off Season Camping

Well, school is back in full swing and the colors of nature are starting to change. The off season camping "season" is upon us. How many people here go out at this time of year when the campgrounds are about empty?

Well if I have a free weekend and I can convince the misses I don't mind going out camping in "off season". I'd also like to add that nature is not changing it's colors everywhere and not every campground is empty.

I'm planning a trip for this weekend, although I'm just heading into the woods, not a camp ground. It being off-season doesn't really enter into the equation so much as me just wanting to go camping before it gets down below freezing at night.

There's a camping/backpacking off-season?

I love to go camping in the "off season". I don't like crowd especially in a campground where the main reason I come is to be relaxed and enjoy the solitude.

We camp in the fall, it's awesome. It's a lot less quiet at the campgrounds and it is fun. We can't swim or anything like that but we can hike and sit around the camp fire.

I was planning on hitting it heavy now that it cooled down. Looks like I'll be working 60 plus hours a week so I will be looking for a small kerosene heater for the colder weather.

It is cooling off enough now that I will be outdoors more often. Time to start taking my daughter for walks and bike rides after dinner. With the wife pregnant and everything else going on I'm not sure how much camping I will get to do.
