Pemmican Recipe

It's made of dried meat beaten to a powder, dried berries beaten to a powder, mixed with animal fat , and then made into 'cakes' let to dry.

So long as something "green" (like the fiddle head from a fern) is included when it's eaten, it will see you through a while, but without taking up a lot of space.

Thanks for sharing the Pemmican recipe. That is something I've always wanted to try. I've heard about it and I've read about it in a lot of books, but never knew exactly what it was made from.
