Planning around activities

Do you plan your camping trips at your favorite campgrounds around the “planned activities”? We get a schedule each winter from 2 of the local campgrounds and that is how we plan which weekends (or long weekends) we will camp.

The kids love to pick the activities they want to do, and we always pick a weekend where they are having a horseshoe competition. Sometimes we even pick the weekend by the band they book for the weekend night entertainment.

It makes it more fun for the kids if they can pick an activity – sometimes it’s just crafts or a talent show.

We certainly do look to see what else is happening at the campground before we book. There are some real rowdy camping weekends at the one campground that we love and we try to not go that week.
