If you have a friend with diabetes (who doesn't?), ask him/her for some of their test strip containers. Those made by Freestyle and Accu-Chek have hinged caps that snap closed securely and hold about a tablespoon of seasoning. I have about a dozen labeled with a Dymo labeler with more in reserve if needed.

The day before a camp-out, I check my menus, and measure out spices and herbs as needed. Salt and pepper are in their own stainless steel plunge grinders, and fresh garlic (a food group in itself) is in a Zip-loc bag.

Screw-top prescription bottles also work well.

Hey now, I've been re-using prescription bottles for years! Mostly for batteries, cotton balls, etc. Not sure if they are airtight for spices, though.
