Default Rucksacks

Let's share some ideas about rucksacks. They're one of the most important items of a camping trip.

What type of rucksack do you use? Do you have a particular size or color that you prefer? Do you use any accessories, like a rucksack raincover or a security mesh?

I'm still using my old issue ruck from the Army. Actually it's not old, I DXed it prior to getting out for a new one. I don't use it a lot since I haven't been getting out as much as I like. No over nighters, just some hiking. Then I'll use a smaller pack with a camel back bladder inside. Never used a rain cover but I will used water proof bags inside to keep things dry. I have been reading some of the other threads for input on newer rucks. Looking to upgrade from the old ALICE pack.
