| That site looks the work of some nutter. I never trust information from web sites like that. If I did, I'd probably think that vaccination is a bad idea when it is in fact the best thing in the history of mankind to happen to us in terms of health.
I burn pretty easily if I'm in direct sunlight, and I don't tan well at all. So, until I see a double blind peer reviewed study come out of the NIH or Cell or something equally reputable, I'm putting sun screen on.

| I didn't use sunscreen years ago, now instead of that lovely golden tan which developed after the first light burn, my skin goes red like a lobster in a pot and after a week of red tender pealing, the pigment collects in spots- look like an appaloosa year round.
I put on something unscented whenever I go out on the water.

| Strangely interesting viewpoint. I would have loved to see some evidence of research and experiments to back up the claim. Anyway, I am dark too but I use sunscreen on my face only.

My $0.02. | Well, a lot of the stuff you just mentioned in your post are already proven so you might wanna check your pockets for those 2c again.

| Actually NONE of those are proven.
The "studies" mainly consist of the statistical equivalent of shooting randomly into the side of a barn and then painting a bullseye around the largest cluster of holes and calling yourself a marksman. These things were largely ginned up by plaintiff's attorneys trying for the next big class action.
Believe as you will- no skin off my nose.

Holy crap! I have never had a burn like that. It has been maybe ten years since I had a burn that hurt. I do turn red but that's just ancestry. My shoulders will turn red and my wife will walk up and run her fingernails across my shoulder when I'm not looking. She calls it a sunburn check and says I would jump and scream if it were a burn.

| I actually wouldn't be surprised that there wasnt some truth to it! all in all... it is all chemicals, and thats never a good thing. I'm with ChadTowers first post... I'd rather just cover up and prevent burns that way.

| C'mon guys, everything is made up of chemicals.
Just because it's "natural" doesn't mean it's safe or good. Strychnine is "all natural" and it will kill you as dead as anything ever made in a lab. Ricin (naturally occuring in Castor Beans) is perhaps the most toxic substance known, and even cashews have to be cooked before you can eat them to destroy the toxic glycosides in them.
Even something as innocuous as water will kill you if you drink enough of it, fast enough.
Chemical does not = "bad" and Natural does not = "good".

But it's still natural. Which is your point. I'm just nitpicking because I'm a biologist and I can't let stuff like that slide. (:
