Default Tick Repellent

Here is a product that ive been using and it works great on killing ticks other insects you dont want on you and your gear. It lasts up to 6 washes. Just spray it on your gear and clothing and your good to go.

I have used permethrin now for 5 years with no problems with ticks and other buggies that can bite including skeeters.

We used to use a tick repellant on our dogs that had permethrin in it. Permethrin is also in a lot of the anti-lice shampoos, if I'm not mistaken. I hadn't ever thought to spray it on my gear or clothing though; that's a really good idea!

Thanks for the info. Was a little worried about how we were going to deal with the pests this season, now I know what I'm gonna try.

Just don't spray it on your skin. Its not meant to come in contact with skin.

I used it in the past. Sprayed my clothing the evening before I left and let it dry. Next morning I went out and had no ticks the whole weekend. Others in the group who had not used it had a few. I like the stuff.

Six washes is a long time running. I wonder if it makes a difference what type of wash it is. Sometimes we get back from trips and have to heavy soak stuff (kids you know).
