Well now that I been here for a while, i feel comfortable voicing my openion, so here goes: I would NEVER use something that toxic I dont care how good it is. Down here we sweat alot, and that would be a problem I'm sure. If I can't breath it, and shouldn't get it on my skin what happens when my shirt is plastered to my back and I can wring it out. For Ticks i duct tape my pants to the top of my hiking boots and put a flee collor around both ancles. For mosketo's I usually just deal with em or use deet which is used every day by millions with no major side efffects. Proven anyways. I guess I am way too much a naturalist to dip my clothesw in toxins.

Hi...

I'd rather use it than use DEET. I've seen DEET remove paint...!! DEET can also damage plastic, such as parts on backpacks.

We have known several people who had Rocky Mountain spotted fever, and it is not a pretty scene. I'm glad to know about this tick repellent and will look for it before we go camping with the kids this summer.

I use frontline for flea/tick. I will tell you it kills ticks; we took a hike last year (a long story in itself --- we refer to it as the hike from h$ll!) within a week I found dead (and greenish) ticks on Bear the big black mut; we had removed a nuumber at the lake from Bear and ourselves. I asked the vet the next time if the green dried (yes dried out) ticks was from the flea/tick stuff;her answer was yes and the tick are dead within an hour of biting --- she followed with my thought "wish they made a human use stuff!!!"
