It doesn't bother me to be without a "facility." I'd much rather find a clean corner of the wilderness than use a dirty outhouse or public bathroom. My little girls are already experienced wilderness potty-goers, even in the winter. It doesn't bother them a bit. Yes, I'm proud of that fact.

Outhouse is fine; used one at the lake every sping/summer/fall from about age 6 till I left for Grad school. If I need to dig a pit I want something to sit my hindend on.

I agree that it is nice to have a seat but when you don't just drop your drawers and grab a tree.

Oh you mean one of the things you sit on. Must places I camp the closest you get to one of those is a downed tree that you dig your own hole next to.

When I was a kid, I didn't mind going outdoors at all (I suppose a little pee on my clothes never bothered me), but I've gotten pickier as I've aged.

Barney, why do you resent weekend campers?
