Default Truck Tent?

I had never heard of or seen this type of tent before. I just ran across it while searching for some things. Does anyone use this type of tent? It looks interesting, but I cannot imagine you would be able to get comfortable in the bed of your truck.

ah yes...I have one and use a air mattress specifically made for my Truck.

Cabela's has a good selection.

Had one for several years, then passed it on to a friend after I got rid of my truck. I really enjoyed having it. Came in handy several times.I didn't have a mattress though, but I did have a heavy rubber mat to protect the bed, then I just used a sleeping pad under my bag. I like them!

Haha! I think I'm really interested in this. Maybe not for all my camping, but it would come in handy when it was just me, or me and one other. Thanks for introducing me to this, off to research it!

A distant friend asked me to try camping with a truck tent and lent me his truck and tent for a couple of days, but it was way too uncomfortable for my taste and decided to stick to regular tents... It's the feeling that comes with knowing you're in a truck that ruins the camping experience, in my opinion.

I haven't used one, but I have seen others who do. Mostly guys that come out camping alone. I think it is a pretty comfortable setup and easier than setting up a regular tent, so why not?

It all depends on your needs. It's great for a quick sleep on a location where you can't spread out on the ground.

Seen it yes, done it no. I guess to me if I am going all out to be with nature I am not really thinking that laying in my truck bed is "being at one with nature". I can understand it mainly if its raining or something but its just not my thing.
