Default Vaccuum sealer unit

I own one of these things, and it's been the greatest help with helping prepare and protect food for camping trips.

Whatever food I want to take, I seal up with this little unit I found at WalMart. It removes all the air and so helps to keep things fresh, I can package things up in individual portions, I can boil-in-bag what I choose when camping, and I can wipe the packaging down in soapy water before we head out so the packages don't smell of food to hungry critters.

Food packaged that way takes up a lot less space, too.

So does that mean the bags are reusable or is it just for the clean up process that you wash out the bags? Also is it for raw foods or can you do chili use this process.

Wow! I never thought of something like that. I've seen those units at the stores but I never thought of using them for camping and things like that. I guess they would make food easier to store. Good idea.
