| What do you take with you to hunt If you are camping with the family and you run out of food, what kinds of things do you have to help you get more food. Don't say money or a credit card. We usually take fishing poles and a couple of knives. |

Member | When I go out on a day hunt, other than the clothes, I take my rifle, pistol, and skinning knife. Some TP comes in handy, unless you don't mind cutting off the bottom of your shirt. I'll also take some hard candy for when I sit. "Being properly distracted for a moment is child's play, being rightly distracted for a lifetime is and art." ~Douglas Adams |

| you could always bring a pellet gun. They're cheap, quiet, legal in most parks (though shooting the wildlife isn't) and the pellets are cheap. However, a single pellet can drop birds, squirrels and even rabbits. With a little rice, a rabbit and a pot, you're all set for supper. |

| A couple of knives, some ropes, and a pellet gun can be a lot of help when you need to look for your own food while camping. |
