What no reservation??

Have you ever booked a reservation at a campground early and then when you got there they did not have the reservation and no open campsites? This happened to me about 3 years ago. It was a Yogi Bear campsite about 2 hours away from our home. I booked online and I printed off the confirmation page but I forgot to grab it when we left (who can remember everything?). When we got to the campground, the teenage girl that was working could not find our reservation. There were also no open sites for us to reserve that night. They had plenty the next day but none for that night. Our reservation was for a week and it was the first time we ever booked there. We ended up staying in a hotel the first night and then camping the rest of the time. I was mad at myself for forgetting the confirmation page. It’s the only time I have ever needed it – wouldn’t you figure the first time I needed it and did not have it.

Happens in all reservation based systems sooner or later. Hotels, airlines, car rentals, etc.

The confirmation page probably wasn't going to help you. It's not like they can kick the people off your site. I am surprised that they didn't help you find a spot somewhere else, though. You did have all your gear with you ready to go.

I have not had this issue myself but my brothers family did and he raised some voices with some choice words when it happened too. The closest thing is I had similar issues with a hotel booking for a mini vacation once.
