What Is The One Thing?

What is the one thing you cannot do without when you go camping. That one thing that makes the trip "feel good" to you. For me it's my air mattress. I cannot sleep unless I have that comfy little beauty with me and my whole trip is "off" then. How about you?

I have this really old pillow. Most people would probably think it is nasty but I love it. Its been washed in the washing machine fairly frequently so isn't that bad. Anyway, it's as old as I am, and I've had it all my life-it goes everywhere with me.

The only thing that I can't leave at home or live without while camping is some books to read. I read all the time at home and love it so naturally I have to bring them with me when I go camping.

I am completely with you on the air mattress. For me it's a matter of being able to move in the morning. I slept on the ground once and wasn't able to get the kinks out until after lunch.

I'm with you Dreamer. I have to have something to read on the down times. But another thing I feel naked without is my camera. I have to have it or my trip is just shot. I take pictures all of the time. The only thing is my camera is an old 35mm. I still get them developed but I'm looking at a digital camera now. I don't know if I can completely wean myself from my old friend though.
