Two problems with that.
1) Your horse knows what to do when he does not want to be ridden.
Now you have a dicipline problem instead of a friend.
You have a broken tool that may need replaceing. (Glue Factory or Danish Ham)
You are gonna put your daughter on this horse later??

2) You look like a sissy in front of everybody else.

I have never been thrown from a horse but from a carabao, Philippine bufallo. When I was a little girl, my cousin and my brother got on a carabao's back just for fun and when my cousin whipped the animal's back it got scared and ran for its life. We were not holding on to anything so you can imagine how we catapulted. Luckily no one was injured.
