Default Overnight ATV or Mountain Bike Trips

These ideas have always had some appeal. Have you ever been out for several days with a bike or ATV? What was it like?

Did it in Alaska with ATV's. Had a great time, carried more equipment and covered more ground.

Nope but I want to. I love riding 4-wheelers so I think it would be cool to visit an ATV park and stay for a few days. I'm not of a motorcycle rider though. Maybe this year I will venture out and do this.

I've been known to throw a backpack or to in one of those bike trailers people use to haul around their kids. My son and I did an overnight trip in this fashion a few years ago and it worked very well.

I used to go ATV camping almost every weekend. It was always load of fun, especially when there were several different ATVs in the group. Then everyone could share the load, and one person didn't have to have everything on one ATV.

It was nice because I could take so much along. I eventually wound up getting a lot of gear similar to what backpackers carry. It was easier to load the ATV with the smaller size gear.

I used to do a lot of mountain bike trips. Haven't been out in a few years because I've been developing my ranch into a hunting and fishing area. I'm getting back into it this year but I have to do a lot of riding first to get back in shape for it.

It can be a lot of fun but very tiring. I like to park the fifth wheel and then go exploring with the ATVs or some bikes. Then I have a soft and comfortable spot to lay my head down after an exhausting day.
