Default Longest Route?

What is your longest route? I've been amazed to find out how many people I know go on some amazingly long routes on their bikes.

Well, I was in a bike race where I covered 102 miles in a little over six hours. It wasn't on a track in a stadium. It was on a six foot wide paved path that wound around on the lakeshore in Chicago.

Generally I don't cover that much ground that fast. I'll do about fifty miles a day because I like to look at the scenery and there are usually points of interest on the way. I have a buddy who went from Chicago to L.A and back one Summer. I've never gone that far but I'll ride to another State.

I have only ever done about 50 miles. I much prefer walking and hiking. I think I could do much more on a walk than I ever would on a biking trip.

The longest bike ride I have been on was around 100 miles, there and back. I like long bike rides in nature, mountain biking is exhilarating. We had a few breaks and ate food along the way.
