We are looking for a smaller ATV/motorbike for our nephew but not sure exactly where to start. Is there a certain age or skill level that we could use to make sure he is really ready for one?

The law states that ATV sales and use are restricted to the following. If you are buying from a reputable dealer here is the guidelines that they will sell under and refuse the sale if you inform them that the purchase is for a child. In fact the dealership can loose it franchise to sell a brand of these rules are not followed.

12 and under 70cc
12-16 years of age 90cc
