I've seen it too and it scares me. We drive our ATV's in the woods and on a back road if we have to cross to get to another set of woods.

All to often I see those crosses on the side of the road too.

I have a street legal dual sport (a KTM) so I dont have a problem with that..

I don't care for them myself. That said I don't see why they are any different from a motorcycle. If it's on the road it should have plates and following the rules of the road.
