Default How About Horseback?

Anyone here ride horseback? I will admit, it has been an extremely long time since I have, maybe 20 years or so. My sister-n-law does have a barrel horse, but I've never ridden it. I always tell myself if I ever get a nice lot of land I will get a horse or two though.

The first time my son got on horseback, the horse kind of slipped it's hoof in a hole and started to shy. I thought my son would be thrown, but he did the absolutely right thing and stayed on a kept control of the horse. I was so proud of him, but he hardly rides anymore, it just doesn't interest him. Sometimes I'll "guilt" him into riding with me.

I did, for several times. But always with someone beside me, because I can't control the horse all by myself

I ride horse sometimes. I admit this is because of my first experience. The first time i got on horse back, i was thrown and i never had the control. I am really so scared to ride. But now i have partial control.

horse riding in amongst all types of wildlife, maybe riding from a base each day or to a mobile camp. Can be for all standards of riders, might be on a ranch riding among differing types of wildlife, normally returning to a lodge or permanent camp each evening.

There is something so special about riding through the countryside on a horse. It gives you a sense of freedom that is hard to explain and you see nature in a way that you could not see if you were on foot.

That is quite right it gives you a connection with nature that you don't get in the same way as a walker or even on a bicycle.
