I would guess the ticket was for public intoxication? Not sure what would happen to the other other than calling a family member to come pick it up, not like it could really be impounded or anything.

Can you imagine what they would charge to impound/board a horse? A friend of mine got a DUI and is car was in the impound for less than an hour and it cost him $400 to get it out.

I didn't know you could get a ticket or pulled over when riding a horse and being drunk. That is just too funny to me. I knew you could get into trouble with a boat, or 4-wheeler but not a horse.

It is funny, just thinking of the cop pulling over the horse! That would be a funny picture to see.
That's definitely a great mental image. But it doesn't surprise me at all that he got a ticket. The police can give you a ticket and haul you off for public intoxication if you can't find someone to take you home (and a smart horse unfortunately does not qualify. )
