Default Downright Shame!

I was exploring a bit ago after work and came upon a pond that is attached to a hollow where a lot of places are for rent. The whole thing was full of cast off TVs, couches, chairs, and anything else you could think of that could come out of a house. I'm disgusted! There aren't any regulations about this where we are out in the country but it's horrible.

I'm pretty sure open dumping is illegal in all states, and also under Federal law as well. I know here in WV they have made a concerted effort to clean them up and typically cite and fine anyone that can catch. You might try contacting your state DNR or DEP.

If there's a central management company for the places for rent you could contact them. They have the right to fine any tenant for dumping. Unfortunately, it's probably people on their way out that do most of it.

Sounds like a good place to setup a trap camera and try and catch some of the useless people in this world.

Sounds like a plan to me RoyalAmbassador. I would love to catch someone doing something like that when I have my trusty hunting rifle in my hand. They would clean it up in a hot hurry or I would clean them up.

I like the idea RoyalAmbassador has too, you might even be able to get there ahead of time and boobie trap the place. I am thinking something spring loaded that will leave paint all over them and the vehicles they drive, then you can call the cops, track them down and blamo, dumping fine.

That is sad. It is terrible that people dump like that instead of taking responsibility. Maybe you could organize a clean up for it and raise some awareness.
