Default Fishing as pure game

When you go fishing do you throw it back into the water or you take it home to roast? I know some people do it purely as a hobby and nothing else.

You really need to have a love for the act of fishing to sit there all day and throw stuff back. I know several guys who do that. Myself...if I hook it, it's a sandwich! Of course I won't be out there all day either. Unless of course I'm making a killing, then it's a fish fry that night.

Depends where you are located. Here you can't eat anything out of the freshwater. Some people do, and in small infrequent quantities that's probably fine, but generally you have to throw anything back. There are plenty of beautiful reservoirs around here you can't swim in because of past contamination. You can paddle and fish them, though.
